Private & Corporate Events · Long Island City

Most venues give you a room

We give your guests something to do in it. Twelve courts across three racquet sports, a kitchen and bar we run ourselves, and a spa on the same floor — three minutes from the 7 train.

Twelve courts, three sports, one building

A blank-canvas loft gives you square footage and a skyline. A golf simulator bar gives you one activity. CityView splits a group across three different games at once, so nobody queues for a turn.

Guests arrive in the Member Lounge, rotate through tennis, padel and squash, reconvene for food we cooked, and finish in the sauna. Nobody leaves the building and you hire no outside vendors.

5Tennis
3Padel
4Squash

Four enclosed Har-Tru courts, one standalone, three padel under the Brisas bubble, and four squash. Twelve in total.

No experience needed at any of the three

Our pros run the sessions, so a team that has never held a padel racquet is playing inside five minutes. Coaching, clinics or a full tournament bracket can run at any station.

Formats at a glance

What fits what
If you are planning The format that fits
A seated dinner Up to 35 in the Member Lounge
A standing reception Up to 120 in the Member Lounge
A rotating sports afternoon Three sports at once, lounge for anyone not playing
A small board offsite Café Lounge for 25, court session either side
A tournament with spectators Courts in play, lounge as the viewing room
A recovery day Spa for 15, in rotation alongside court time

And finish in the sauna

The contrast therapy spa holds fifteen and it is open now. It works as a rotating station alongside court time, or as the last stop of the day.

No other event venue in Long Island City can offer a guest somewhere to recover. It is the detail people remember afterwards, and the reason a sports afternoon here does not end with everyone standing about in a function room.

The floor plan

Three of the six event venues in Long Island City publish a floor plan. None of them look like this.

Food and drink, cooked here

We hold a full food and liquor licence and run our own kitchen and bar. Three of the four large event spaces in Long Island City require you to bring your own licensed caterer. One forbids hiring a restaurant at all. At CityView the food is ours — no caterer to source, brief, insure or chase, and no corkage conversation.

Menus built around the day, not a package

Catering and bar packages are quoted with your event. Tell us the shape of the day and we will build to it.

A bar that runs to a timed service, food that suits a group moving between courts rather than sitting still, and a kitchen already in the building if anything needs to change at short notice.

Three ways to build the day

Food and beverage is selected separately from the tier, so you are never buying a package with things in it you did not want.

Tier One

Court Access

Open play and social rotation across the sports you choose. The simplest version, and the one that works best for a group that wants to be left to it.

Tier Two

Programming & Coaching

Our pros run the session: guided matches, clinics, drills, or a tournament bracket with a winner at the end. The right choice for team building.

Tier Three

Full Event Experience

The building at your disposal. Courts, lounge, café and spa combined into a single itinerary, with food and bar service timed around it.

One photograph still missing

A group mid-event — people on court, drinks in the lounge, a room in use. Nothing in the current gallery shows an event actually happening, and it is the single image this page most needs.

Questions planners ask

How many guests can you host?

Up to 120 standing in the Member Lounge, or 35 seated. For a sports-led event we have twelve courts across three sports, so a large group splits into rotating stations rather than queuing. We are not the largest room in Long Island City and we do not try to be. What we offer is a group that is doing something rather than standing around holding a drink.

Do we need to bring a caterer?

No. We hold a full food and liquor licence and run our own kitchen and bar.

Do guests need to know how to play?

No. Our pros run the sessions and most groups include people who have never played padel or squash before. That is usually the best part of the day.

Is there parking?

No car park or garage, and street parking nearby is limited and paid. The 7 train at 33rd St – Rawson St is about a three minute walk. A loading dock is available for event set-up.

Can you run a tournament?

Yes. Three sanctioned surfaces and a lounge that overlooks the courts makes CityView one of the few venues in the city that can run a bracket and seat an audience for it.

What about the rooftop terrace?

Opening later this year. It is not available for bookings yet, and we would rather tell you that now than take a date we cannot honour.

Tell us about your event

The more you can tell us now, the more useful our first reply will be. Date, headcount, and whether you want people playing or just somewhere good to eat.

Catering in service — a laid table, bar in use. The one thing no existing photograph covers, and the argument this page leans on hardest.
